The Season I Stopped Chasing Perfection & Started Living in Alignment
Make it stand out
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Hey my Olives, it’s me, Simone Sharice, and this one’s from a softer place. There was a time when I thought wellness meant doing more. More workouts, more supplements, more green juices, more hustle. I woke up early, journaled, worked out, ate clean, and still felt disconnected. My body was tired, my mind was restless, and even though everything looked perfect, nothing felt aligned. That’s when I learned that wellness isn’t about how much you do, it’s about how in tune you are with yourself.
The Turning Point
It happened one morning while I was practicing Pilates. I slowed down my movements, focused on my breathing, and let myself be fully present. Something shifted. I realized I had spent so much time trying to do more that I forgot to feel more. That moment became the heart of Sundai Olive Pilates, a space I created to remind women that movement is about connection, not perfection. It’s where strength meets softness, and where women like us come home to our bodies again.
The Lesson I Learned
If you take anything from this journal entry, let it be this, your wellness journey doesn’t have to be complicated. It just has to be consistent and intentional. When I began syncing my workouts with my cycle, everything changed. My energy stabilized, my bloating reduced, and my mood lifted. Instead of fighting my body, I started working with it. That’s why I teach cycle sync movement through Sundai Olive Pilates, because our hormones deserve to be understood, not ignored. And when I started treating my beauty routine as a form of self respect rather than self critique, I noticed a shift. My skin started glowing, my sleep improved, and my digestion thanked me. That’s what true glow up energy really is, it’s peace showing up on your skin.
The Truth About Wellness
People love to make wellness look complicated. They’ll tell you it takes detoxes, restriction, and fancy routines. But the real secret is consistency with compassion. You don’t have to push through pain or force progress. Pilates taught me that strength is about control, awareness, and grace. The more I slow down, the more my body thanks me for listening.
A Note to My Olives
If you’re reading this, maybe you’re in that same space I once was, doing all the things but still not feeling your best. I want you to pause. Take a breath. Ask yourself what you need today, not what the world says you should do. Because you don’t need to fix yourself, you just need to return to yourself. That’s the real essence of Sundai Olive Pilates—movement, mindfulness, and becoming who you were always meant to be.
Wellness isn’t about chasing perfection. It’s about choosing peace, every single day. Until next time, keep showing up softly, keep listening to your body, and remember, the glow you’re chasing starts from within.
